Finders Keepers

So we were driving down the road a couple of days ago, and there was a rather large tortoise walking up the road. Rather an unusual sight for that neighborhood. Barry stopped and picked it up and put it in the car. We drove back to my parents house, and assigned my dad to find its' owner. He wasn't able too. He did make some cute signs though to put up, so we're still hopeful.
We're giving it some time, but I believe we are the proud new owners of an approximately 30 year-old male tortoise. The girls love to play with and feed it.

Our Garden

This is the view from the front of our house. We are slowly transforming our unruly land into a yard. Barry has done an amazing job in planting and taking care of our garden.(now if only the weather would cooperate) He's planted Indian corn, sweet corn, squashes, sunflowers, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce, peas, peppers, rhubarb, rosemary, basil, oregano, and sage.

James has a new trick, instead of simple spitting his pacifier out, he removes it with his hand and flings it. Here he is in the act.


Okay, no comments about the Dr. Seuss outfit, but look at his eyes, he thinks he's being sneaky.

Barry is embarrassed of my blog, he won't even read it. He thinks I'm being too obvious of my weirdness. In my old age I'm realizing I can do what I want.
