City of Rocks

James' new salamander. Barry found it in the garden.

Barry learning to play the bag pipes. We had some friends over and grilled pizzas and had root beer floats. Fun times.

Epic water fight. I put the dirty diapers in a pot on the back porch, where they sit in the hot sun waiting to go to the outside garbage can. Ellie has that pot. I would run, if I was Natalie too. :D

Lauren wet and very cold, but still smiling.
Emma did not participate in the waterfight, though she should had, maybe she would have got a bit cleaner.

Beautiful Natalie.
Opps! shouldn't have paused for a picture!

"Hey James come here." Can't believe he fell for that one.

Lauren loves to get other people wet!

Doesn't like it when she gets it back.
Natalie dumped the pot over her own head to help Lauren feel better.
Then Ellie got her good with the nasty compost bucket.

We decided to spend a day at City of Rocks.
The drive was wayyyy longer than I remembered. So we only spend a few hours at the park. It was a hot day, but the kids had fun.

The cactuses were in bloom.

Emma loved to climb the "grocks" She is an excellent climber.

See my reflection? I was there too. :)

On the way home, we stopped at Barry's coworker's house and picked tons more cherries. The kids weren't too excited about that, but I seriously can't get too many cherries. :D
I spent the day today making cherry pies, and drying cherry. Mmmmmmm!

Barry took Natalie to the airport, after several hours of delays they cancelled her flight. Barry and her ended up staying overnight in Boise. Luckily, we were able to find Natalie a flight directly to Portland the next morning.  Phew!
