Spring is Marching In

We went to the Sun Valley Film Festival to see a friend from College film that he made. Unfortunately, we didn't have a ticket so we had to wait in line for an hour and a half. Ellie read a book and Lauren modified pictures of me on the phone app to look super scary. She quite enjoyed herself.
IN the end, after all our waiting we still weren't going to get in, but my friend came and grabbed us out of line and took us in with her. Phew!
The film was well done and Sun Valley is always a gorgeous place to visit ........even if it is quite cold in March. Brrrrrr
 Owie taking care of Chuck.

Owen had just said to me. " I love you" without any coaching whatsoever. It was the most adorable thing.

8 is great! but 9 is BETTER!

Our sweet baby James turned nine last week. HE asked for No school.
So we cancelled school, played in the morning and went to the park in the afternoon. It was SUPER DE DUPER COLD. I didn't even get out of the car, but I froze to death. A thunderstorm was on it's way, so when the wind picked up enough to blow the kid's away, I called it quits and we went back home. I'm pretty sure it was a memorable experience for them all.
Barry came home and made us all Cheeseburgers and Oreo Milkshakes.
Our sweet friend Dawn loaned us some awesome shake goblets.

Ellie saved up a whole week's worth of sugar tokens and cashed them in so she could buy James a present. I thought that was a sweetest thing ever. It was hard for her, basically, that is no sugar for a whole week. NO jam, no honey, no nuthing. The day before his birthday she and I walked to the dollar store and picked him out some gifts. She and Emma gave him a fun remote control trickster car.

Grandma and Grandpa Stuart gave James this giant nerf gun. HE loves it1
HE got a awesome card from Grandpa Griffin, he couldnt believe the 9 whole dollars he got.

A grape float. He really was anticipating it, but in the end he decided that grape pop and ice cream don't really go together afterall. ;D
James making a whip, unbeknownst to me.... I was an accessory to the crime. I thought he was making a necklace or something....
We love you James!!! You are soo smart, loving, forgiving, and amaze us everyday with your awesome creations. You are an incredible big brother and a friend to everyone.

I will never forget the first time I saw you, I looked down into your dark eyes and red face ....you were crying.... I picked you up and you wrapped your little skinny arms around my neck and immediately stopped crying and just sighed. I lost my heart to you at that moment.

Happy Birthday My Boy!!!!!!!!!!!!

March Forth

Today was a beautiful day. I convinced Barry he didn't want to go to work, so he stayed home with us and we spent the day together. We ended up going fishing on our land. Emma caught a rather big trout. James was pretty proud of her.

Owen really enjoyed the freedom of being able to walk around and explore.

 action packed games of Candyland.

 No more lip-tie

James' awesome Lego creations. The Hook Shot
 Owen Sans curls

We sold our canoe. It was a sad day, but the nice man will put it to good use and we will get a bigger one better for our family. :D
 Owen's last day of curls.

Ellie's last day of Ski Class, they went up to beautiful Sun Valley to ski all day.

IT was a lovely Valentine's Day. I usually dress up a bit, but this year I was sick, so I decided a pink sure was all that was required.

Owen Bear enjoying his Bear Cookie.

Barry did his best to help me feel better, He bought me 2 lbs of the best chocolates in the world!
The were gone before Monday!

Long trips to the home improvement store

pretty sure I already posted the pictures below, but just in case.....

Barry and His Brother did a cross-country ski race up in Sun Valley. The both did awesome.
