October Fun!

For FHE we played our kid's new favorite game. Game of the States, played on our table map. Lauren told me that Canada was the biggest state, so I decided we needed to keep a US map on our table for awhile. The kids have learned a lot.

Several nights a week Barry wheels wheelbarrow around to the front yard and mercilessly tanks out my pretty orange flowers from my front flower bed. He feels up the barrow and takes them back to the back yard and feeds them to the goats. I have wondered what my neighbors must think about him doing this. My friends hosted a drive by baby shower for me, and while that was going on, Barry appeared with his wheelbarrow. :D I thought for sure one of them would say something, but they were all very polite and not a word was uttered about why my husband was yanking out all my pretty flowers. :'D

A side note, I have mentioned to Barry that I don't like the flowers and how they spread like crazy but it makes me laugh that he think that's an all clear to go ahead and clear the bed of them for goat food.

My lovely shower gifts.

Checking on Emma at school, she saw me.  :)
Owen loves to spend time with his friends in preschool.
Doughnut game at YW's. Ellie won. This game grosses me out on so many levels. Not the least of them being they are cake doughnuts. :p

School Halloween Party! The kids had a blast and the pulled pork sandwiches were delicious!

Sunday Drive

After a week fo being cooped up in doors as the kids recovered from their surgery. We decided that Sunday would be a good day to drive into the hills and get some fresh air.

There was a big fire there about a month ago and it is crazy to see how much things have changed. I didn't really take any pictures of the burnt areas b

Because it is just sad, but we did find some areas that were still pretty and went on a little walk to a waterfall

Lauren & James surgery

The kid's have been working on their typing. I get to send fun screen shots to their teacher of their improvement.
A shot in the dark: Didn't want to turn on the light and disturb Owen who was sleeping on my bed, so I gave myself a shot within checking to make sure it wasn't in a vein. HAHAH! I hit that vein right on. Couldn't have picked a worse place. It was very unhappy for a few days.

Decided to take the plunge and have Lauren and James have their tonsils and adenoids out. They both have severe sleep apnea. We are hoping that this will really help them.

Early Morning at the surgery center. Everything is better if you can have your best bud with you.

Talking each other through getting an IV.

IN recovery, Barry and I were not allowed to be in the same room, so we kept switching rooms. It was sweet how Lauren and James both kept asking us to check on the other one to see how they were doing. Lauren was awfully loopy, her eyes simply refused to focus and she saw 4 of everything for about 20 minutes. James was pretty confused waking up, but he snapped out of it quicker.

All DONE! headed home. James was like some crazy expert with the wheel chair and didn't want to be pushed. Lauren was happy for a ride.

Recovery has been rough, Long days and longer nights, but lots of people have dropped stuff by for the kid's to help them recover.

Gotta another crazy bite on my leg. I am just documenting this on here. Look at it's weird comet tail. Super itchy

Then it swelled up and turned into a bruise. Now it is mostly just a black hole. Don't you worry. I will show it to my doctor tomorrow. Wish i could figure out what is biting me. I swear I was my sheets very often. I did vacuum under my bed today....just in case of arachnids.  Not sure why they would just choose ME though.

End of August/September, Eleanor turns 15!

We had a lesson about slavery and indentured servants for School. I feel it was quite productive.

The kids don't really feel like their my slaves anymore. At least they won't be saying that aloud again. ;D

Lauren's chair she built on our land. Barry and I were walking around looking at stuff and Lauren kept having to move her chair.
This boy loves Chicken Legs. "Can we have chicken legs for dinner??!? Please please?!"
Barry has been making dutch over sour dough bread every day for us. I appreciate the bread, but the smell of it baking, has me running for the hills. I wonder if i will ever be able to stand the smell of baking bread again?
Owen's first dentist appoint. He handled it like a PRO. Seriously a Pro. He would like to go everyday.

We've been finding this Voles all around. This one was on my walk. I almost stepped on it TWICE. The first time Barry scooted it off the road so it wouldn't get ran over, and on our way back it was back in the road. So he got a leaf and carried it out into the field. The kid's the day before had recused one from the cat, but it hadn't made it through the night, so we took a picture of this one to show them.
Waffle LOVE
Pretty sure these two had the dreaded virus. They both did fine, but we kept them 10 days in quarantine.
Emma's hurt thumb.

She said she was running and tripped over Lauren's leg. Not sure how that happened, but it looks painful all the same.
33/34 ish weeks pregnant and feeling crappy.
When you have a hurt hand, it is hard to catch yourself when you fall and you face plant HARD. Poor Emma!

James' first successful 3D print. IT has been a crazy year with school, but we are trying.

My baby!
Eleanor has done an amazing job running cross country this year. She was very hesitant to run because the highschool girls run twice as far as the middle school girls. She has worked very hard. I have bribed her with books and Chicken sandwiches. I really don't think there is anything that she couldn't accomplish if she set her mind to it. She has PR at almost every single race, and has become one of the faster girls on the team.

Headed to Ellie's race. Wearing white after labor day. Please don't tell.
Owen's preschool class at SRA. He is loving it.
Eleanor turns 15! Watch out world, she has her Drivers Permit! Amy gave her some beautiful rings for her birthday. We love you Ellie and couldn't do without you!

We had Alfredo on noodles for dinner and peas and a pork roast for Ellie's special meal. I made her a bottled peach pecan sour cream pie, and Grandma and Grandpa came up and visited her on her special day. She was excited to receive her very own Masterpiece Game. I took pictures, but my phone has been wigging out lately and I can't find them.

Eleanor's first day of school. I brought her outside to take her picture, but then I noticed the sunrise, so I ran out in the road to take a picture, then ran back to take Ellie's photo and my phone had died. Whooops!
Miss Emma out in the orchard.

Barry's took Ellie to Lagoon for her birthday. I don't really have any more pictures, because it was a secret adventure. She bought a shirt so they could be twinners. They road on every ride they could ride on and had a wonderful day. The kid's and I decided to stay in Filer and have a little party while they were gone.

They kids are anxious to open their Lego sets. I told them when Baby comes then they can.
Putting together the 3 D printer. Unfortunately it was put together backwards the first time, the instructions are very vague I am took. They got it worked out though.
Picking out a binder for Ellie and 9th grade. She wasn't with us, so we just sent her pictures. THe poor girl doesn't get to use a locker this year, so she has to carry all her books and her laptop around with her everyday. :P
Our homeschool supplies have started to arrive.
My friend Owen Bear!
