Japanese Garden

The Portland Japanese Garden was truly amazing ...like someplace from another world. (Or, at least another part of the world) It was gorgeous, and very peaceful. It was raining and rather dark from the canopy of trees, but hopefully you will be able to see some of the beauty of the place. The kids enjoyed walking around. Ellie had a treasure map and had to find objects in the garden. She thought that was pretty cool.

The Rock. One of the objects Ellie had to find.

I really did try to get people and to turn around, but they weren't interested.
Sorry bad focus. It was super dark.

The sun shone through the trees for a brief moment and I was able to get this shot of James.
Lauren asleep on her feet. We were trying to decide where to go next.
See! I was there! AND I was wearing a dorky hat too, but it kept my ears warm. (YES, James had spotted some coy in the pond and was reading to make a break for them)

 Loved this spot.
 Another view.

The entrance to the Garden.

NEXT STOP: Canon Beach and Bruce's Candy Kitchen.
