The Blessing of Anna Rose

Our very own Miss Anna Rose was blessed December 6, 2020 at the Pate homestead in beautiful Logan Utah. 

Not all pictures turned out. 

Sweet Anna wore my blessing dress and the dress all my girls have been blessed in. It was huge on here but I think she pulled it off well. 

I love this sweet spirit. 

Dear Elaine is finishing up her radiation treatments for Breast Cancer. She really wanted to come up and meet sweet Anna after she was born, but it didn't work out because of Covid. I knew she was very sad. When my Anna was just a little over a month, I received a strong impression we need to head down to Utah for a visit. We decided it would be a good time to also bless Anna. I had a hair appt that Saturday and Elaine asked if she could watch Anna while I was gone. I was quite worried that Anna would cry the whole time, and it would be too much for her.  But our sweet girl just slept peacefully and let Elaine hold her the whole time. It was a very good thing. I am glad I listened to a prompting from the Spirit.  

 I sneakily snapped this photo of Elaine, holding Anna, without her wig on. I think she looks beautiful.

Dear Nicholas,

You would have been 8 today my sweet baby.

I miss going to the temple where I felt so close to you, though you haven't been far from my thoughts. I miss you. 

I felt your spirit at the hospital and can't help but think that you were there, and helped send our sweet Anna Rose to us.

Thank you! I'm sure you will miss her. 

I am excited for the day we will ALL be together again. 

 I love you.

I made you a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. I think you would have loved it. 

Emmaline BIG 7!

 Our Miss Emma turned 7!!

7 things I love about          Emmaline

1. Emmaline has a soft heart and is quick to forgive. 

2. Emmaline is oh so clever. She amazes me ever day with the things she figures out. 

3. Emmaline is beautiful inside and out. She has the most amazing hair and lovely blue eyes. 

4. Emmaline is creative. She makes awesome Lego creations, builds cool forts, makes her own board games, and loves to play pretend. 

5. Emmaline is an artist, her drawings are amazing and her cababilities are far beyond her 7 years. She has an artist's eye, her drawings are so expressive, but there is never any need to guess what or who she was drawing. She is truly gifted. 

6. Emmaline is a musician. There isn't any song that she can't pick out on the piano. I love to listen to her teach herself a new song. She has an incredible memory for music. I often get chills just listening to her play. 

7. Emmaline is very giving and will always share everything or anything she has. 

Emmaline we love you sooo very very much. We are so happy you are part of our family. Our life is so so so much better with you in it! 

Emma gets a pumpkin pie every year for her birthday, but this year she got spoiled with two pies AND a Grandma Griffin Birthday Cake. Lucky girl! 

We put some trick sparkler candles on her cake. She had a good laugh trying to blow them out.
