Summer Days Slipping Away

Emma is such a happy baby. She always is smiling about something. She is cutting teeth, so she tries to smile while she is pursing her lips together.

see. Makes me laugh. ( I gave her some Tylenol)
Going on an adventure. We drove up to the hummingbird feed station. A favorite family spot, but there were about 10 too many people there and only a couple of hummingbirds to be found, so we went exploring instead. The kids caught tons of little fish.

Spicy Juice! We found a beautiful mountain meadow and had a picnic.

Em and I even did a bit of wading, while Daddy napped in the sun.

look close. You can see James' flamingos!
careful Dad!
 catching fish!

Happy Water!

 cookie dance.

lunch wouldn't be complete without a HOT DOG!
She knows something......... and it makes her smile...

James has asked me to delete this picture several time. |He says "it's sooo embarrassing."

Our first pie made from apples from a tree WE planted. Delicious!

School

I really should be...

cleaning my kitchen

exercising

canning peaches

taking a nap

but instead I'm here, blogging. Today was my baby boy's first day of school. :'(

He's been waiting for this day for a long time. Super excited.

After MUCH prayer and thought I decided to send the kids to school this year. It's been an extremely tough decision, but I think the right one for our family, right now.

Anyway, pretty sure James and Ellie are both going to love it.

Sorry these are a bit out of focus, we were in a bit of a rush.:)

 James' first day of Kindergarten!
Eleanor's first day of 3rd Grade

Love them.

August Samplings

Today's work. Now to stack it!
 but there is MORE

BJ mowed the lawn after I took this picture. :)
Barry's Garden. From a barren patch of ground a year ago, to THIS. I'm pretty proud of my husband. He's pretty amazing. :)

We've been sick. (Not from eating leaves)

I got the stomach bug bad, not so much fun. :(

Yet, sweet Emma agreed to a little photo shoot with her Mommy ....(the Mommy who didn't have the energy to go inside and clean up the house that was destroyed by the roving gangs while she was sick)....anyway. You get the idea.

"Mmmm nice and crispy, just the way I like it"

Don't you want to just pick her up and hug her and kiss those chubby cheeks? :)

I know she looks sad, but she really was having fun and enjoying nature and the fresh air.

*no leaves were harmed consumed in the making of these pictures.

Goodnight
