My First Blog Survey

Now this is my first Blog Survey, so I want it to be a success. So everyone participate now. ( I made it easier to leave comments)

In hopes that I can gain some justification (don't let this sway you ;) ) for something I've been neglecting, I've decided to reach out to my fellow woman out there and see what they think.

Ironing Husbands' Shirts.

Must I?

IN my Defense:
1. Ironing (A good job) takes me about 15 minutes per shirt. Yes, I know I'm slow. 4 Shirts Ladies that an hour. 8 Shirts that's two hours. I COULD get loads of OTHER stuff done.
2. No matter how many times I iron them, they just get wrinkled again.(These are pretty weak excuses aren't they?)
3. He looks really good in an ironed shirt. Too good, for all those college girls staring at him all day. (I guess I just assumed they stare, because I would)
4. HE DOESN'T CARE ANYWAY, AND SOMETIMES HE DOESN'T EVEN NOTICE.

On the Other Hand:

1. I really could make the time if I wanted to.
2. He looks like a Rag-a-Muffin, wearing wrinkled shirts to work
3. They make him look unprofessional at work
4. I want people to know he is in fact NOT homeless and someone does care about him.

Okay there it is.

Now Vote in your comments please. IN favor of ironing or NOT in favor.

*Yes I am aware of wrinkle free fabrics, which a lot of Barry's shirts are, but after so many washing, even those look like they need a good ironing.

*Yes I am also aware that I could've ironed one of his shirts during this time. Bleh

Well, I'm not really one to talk. I don't like ironing either. Part of me says "Iron those shirts" and part of me says "only do it when absolutely neccesary, and only do the really bad parts."

Can I have 1/2 a vote each way?

I am an iron freak, I always have to iron our clothes before we go out. Sadly enough I even iron our jeans, my family has always made fun of me for doing this. I actually love to iron clothes, so I'm not one to talk much cause I don't have wee little ones running around. But I'm all about having clothes ironed before you go out.
(I don't know if you will like me after this ;) )

I will admit I only iron Landon's church shirt and only when he asks. That goes for any of his shirts. I have found that if I hang his shirts up right as the dryer is finishing than he doesn't have as many wrinkles and they look less wrinkled. So I would say no.

Only do it for special occassions, ironing is the worst and its not like Barry needs to look any more attractive around those young college girls

Ironing is fantastic- there's nothing better than a nicely ironed shirt. That said, Nope- I don't think you should always iron every shirt.

Try this cheating method. Buy a wrinkle-releaser, you can get them in most laundry isles. I think Downy's brand is "Wrinkle free" or something like that. Iron the collar and a crease in the sleeve (if you do that, I know military has to have the sleeves creased but not sure if that's what you all do or not ;) and then hang the shirt on a hanger. Spritz the shirt down (avoid the ironed collar and sleeves) and tada! Quick easy fix. Or at least that's what I do.

NOT: Just get wrinkle free shirts, and you never have to iron them again. Or just make him do it.

I think a key thing to consider is, "does Barry want you to iron his shirts?" I always did it for Andy for me not for him--I didn't like looking at him in wrinkly shirts...he now does not iron his shirts and is probably happier...
