This is the beautiful Perrine Bridge that brings you into Twin Falls. It is HIGH up. Ellie would like me to mention that Daddy is even scared to walk across it, it makes him very dizzy.
For FHE this week, we decided to go on a family hike.
Guess where we went? We had a blast!
(FYI: I do not recommend this hike for young families, ...or old people, or people with bad knees, or people that are tired ...or ...:)
This the landing area for crazy people who base jump off the bridge. We were lucky enough to see a few people jump off. When their parachute goes out, it sounds like a gun shot. It's a pretty awesome view from below, but I almost had a heart attack when the first guy climbed over the railing and I realized that we were the only people down there and if he went SPLAT. We would be the only ones there to view it and get help. :O
Along this path, James saved Lauren from stepping on a very large Great Basin Blow Snake ...just in time. Of course, then Barry stepped on it's tail to point out how closely it resembled a rattle snake, ....but wasn't. I encourage the kids to leave ALL SNAKES alone, rattle or not!
Then the kids found a waterfall, and you can guess what happened next......
Emmie wanted to get wet too, but it was very slippery and I didn't want her to be dropped. She wasn't to happy about missing out.
For FHE dessert (A must). We bought a cheap brownie mix on the way home and made Pumpkin brownies. Here's the recipe.
1 can of Libby's Canned Pumpkin
1 box of cheap brownie mix.(wouldn't want to waste an expensive one)
Mix
Bake at 350 degrees for a long time.
They are very healthy tasting.(wink, wink) Ellie, James, and Lauren rejected their pieces and gave them to Emma. She gobbled them up.
*Blurry photos are compliments of my phone, which is much loved and dirtied by Miss Emma
